I don't think Raimi even wanted Venom in Spider-man 3 at all, he was forced to include him. Venom should have been done over two movies, he was horribly rushed. I don't mind the TASM movies being rebooted but it was a shame the Raimi movies had to be rebooted, Spider-man 2 is still the best Spider-man movie they've made so far. Even Spider-Man 2 had major problems. Like when Ock goes to Harry and demands the Tritium for his experiment, Harry says "Bring me Spider-Man and I'll do it" and Ock agrees...
...Instead of, you know, torturing Harry into just giving it to him so Ock doesn't have to waste his time fighting Spidey.

I wouldn't really say that was a major problem with the movie.
It was a real good movie, it was funny, it has some great action scenes, one of the best fights in a superhero movie still. They made a good villain out of Doctor Octopus who was a bit of a joke at times in the comics.
It was also different from most superhero movies that you get today as well. It didn't just revolve around the generic plot of a Superhero beating a Supervillain, it wasn't all about Spider-man, it was also about Peter Parker losing his powers and his relationship with Harry Osbourne and Mary Jane. Of course that part was what helped make those movies so much much successful than any of the competition because they appealed to women as well.
Those Raimi Spider-man movies had a certain magic to them that they'll never get back again.
Spider-man Homecoming was good but like the other thread suggested it was a bit formulaic so doesn't stand out as much.

Thats just a nitpick. It was in the interest of Doc Ok to deal with Spiderman too.

I didn't even see this turd and I'm 100% sure it's worse than any other live action Spider-Man project ever made. You didn't miss much. I found it to be one of Marvel's most forgettable movies. Spiderman 2 is still the best by far. Innit?

Nope. You have to prove it's good, Got to RT and Metacritic. Nah, Disney bought those good scores.

Nah, Disney bought those good scores. Like Wonder Woman, then. Nope, unlike the inside hacks with the inside track over at Disney, Warner has a little thing called merit and integrity on its side.

Because Spidey would've stopped him... Which he did, because Harry didn't "finish him"

Confession: I paid for the good reviews for Spiderman Homecoming. It was a total accident. I was trying to buy tickets online and I clicked the wrong link. The real RT score was 29%.

Course I like it, I just don't think it's perfect or that it's impossible for there to be any Spidey movies made in the future that match or surpass it.

My point is that he should have been anticipating having Venom pushed on him instead of being blind-sided by it. No, Homecoming is the best Spider-Man movie they've made so far.

Every superhero film that dares not to be a depressing practice of pretentiousness is "a bit formulaic" to you.
