76 years for Wonder Woman to to get a solo big screen outing. Under 60 for Black Widow (and 45 to appear on the big screen compared to WW's 75). Yet not hearing anyone say it was too late for WW! It wasn't too late for Wonder Woman because:
1. There had been very few female-led superhero movies made. 2. There hadn't been a female-led superhero movie made in more than a decade. 3. There had never been a successful female-led superhero movie.
Wonder Woman not only was the 1st successful female-led superhero movie but also 1 of the best superhero movies ever made, getting a PGA nomination for Best Theatrical Motion Picture, a win for Critics' Choice Best Action Movie (beating Thor: Raganarok and Logan), and is a strong contender for a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
Moreover, DCEU has Batgirl and Gotham City Sirens coming and Fox has X-Men: Dark Pheonix and Kitty Pryde coming. So by the time Black Widow gets made, if it ever gets made since it's no guarantee as MCU has delayed a Black Widow movie for a decade, no one will give a shit about it. The ship has already sailed, and Black Widow missed it.
It's like when Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon, the whole world watched the broadcast on TV. Now it's no longer such a big deal when someone walks on the Moon.

Kevin Fiege is only making a Black Widow movie now because Wonder Woman proved that female-led superhero movies can be successful. But after seeing Wonder Woman, most people won't care about seeing a Black Widow movie.
It's similar to how Joe DiMaggio (who was 41 years old when he and Marilyn Monroe were divorced) lived until he was 84 years old but never re-married after he and Marilyn were divorced. And similarly with Prince Rainier, he never re-married after Grace Kelly's death. When you've been married to Grace Kelly or Marilyn Monroe, no other woman could live up to those standards.
Likewise, when people have seen Wonder Woman, no other female-led superhero movie can live up to that standard, especially not a Black Widow movie.
This is the most stupid thing you ever wrote. Especially since WW was a very mediocre film full of plotholes with the weakest villain of superheromovies in 2017. Just because it isnt a shitty movie doesnt make it good. And you have no right to talk about women anyway since you glorify the sexual harrasment of one in the Stan Lee case. Wonder Woman is a great movie and rated the Best Superhero Movie of All Time: Best Superhero Movies of All Time. Wonder Woman has been nominated by the PGA for Best Theatrical Motion Picture, won the Critics' Choice for Best Action Picture (beating Thor: Ragnarok and Logan), and is a strong contender for a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
And I didn't glorify sexual harassment. On the contrary, while MCU fans want to give Stan Lee a free pass, I'm the 1 who's been advocating for MCU to take a stand against Stan Lee's sexual transgressions.

I dare you to show me where I gave Stan Lee a pass? I said always that if its true he should be dealt with, Stan Lee or not. You did glorify the sexual harrasment of the alledged Stan Lee victim. You like that it happened if it happened so you can piss on Marvel and its fandom. And now you are a coward about it by denying it. And how about Batsy being a murdering coward by shooting people in the back from a distance? Much like it happened in Las Vegas. DC really inspired that guy.

You have done no such thing. You have found him guilty, ignoring BOTH sides of the story and all the the details. All you have done is relish that either party concerned has or does suffer. Do not make out you have some moral high ground - you have said and done enough in the past to put that in doubt

Why is this idiot allowed to continually troll this board? Why is a dummy like you allowed to bully any board? DC Fan's only quoting a screenrant article. It's the language in blue below; you can click it with the cursor and the article automatically pops up, it's a bit like magic, try it out: screenrant.com/black-widow-movie-too-late/2/Then after reading you can indulge in the discussion process with the others. That's "why" btw. Have fun and make it count.

No response for your disgusting misogyny I see.

She was brainwashed by the Red Room into being a child soldier whose killed tons of people. Why does everyone assume it's due to the sterility thing? Because she was talking about Her entire past, including Red Room brainwashing and killing. Anyone paying attention would know that.

It probably should have come out much earlier. There's been several movies already with Black Widow in it and she's probably at the tail end of the contract. So yeah I find it odd that they'd make it at this point. Kevin Fiege is only making a Black Widow movie now because Wonder Woman proved that female-led superhero movies can be successful. But... Wonder Woman was only good compared to other DCEU movies. It was a good movie (because it was a copy of First Avenger), but it wasn't mind-blowingly good.

And yet it isn't everyone's greatest superhero movie of all time. And you do know those don't mean anything. Right? You might as well put that it won an MTV Movie Award. Again, it was seen as good compared to the other DCEU movie. You look at a pile of crap long enough, the one with glitter on it will look pretty.

That list says Ragnarok is better than Dark Knight, you stand by that? In fact...that link doesn't even work anymore. Previously, they had 5 pages (50 to 41 on Page 1, 40 to 31 on Page 2, 30 to 21 on Page 3, 20 to 11 on Page 4, and 10 to 1 on Page 5). Now they have just 3 pages (50 to 31 on Page 1, 30 to 11 on Page 2, and 10 to 1 on Page 3) so Pages 4 and 5 don't exist anymore. I've fixed the link to point to Page 3 instead of Page 5 so the link works now: Best Superhero Movies of All Time. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. And also, the list has The Dark Knight at #3, Logan at #2, and Wonder Woman still holding strong at #1.

BP and Infinity War are coming out and WW's goodwill has been kicked out from under her due to JL's failure. Those 3 films' places aren't going to last.

Wonder Woman has taken on everything that MCU has thrown at Wonder Woman and just brushed it aside like brushing aside bullets. Black Panther and Infinity War won't have any more success knocking Wonder Woman from the #1 spot than SMH or Thor: Ragnarok did.

BP will have artificial boosts simply for being a black led superhero. Infinity War will be overcrowded and CGI heavy with no emotional story to it and these type of films dont make it into "all time great classic" lists. You're just salty that no MCU movie can break the top 1/2/3 spots in any established list of greatest superhero films ever made.

The Weinstein scandal meant that critics were afraid that if they did do so, it would label them misogynists. WW's place is due to the booster it got from the current environment being rocked from Weinstein's fall and all the other male scandals.

BP will have artificial boosts simply for being a black led superhero. An intelligent Black superhero who has to deal with issues of how to reconcile being a good King with being a good person. Plus, having a black lead didn't save Steel. Sorry you dislike comic book elements so much. Sorry you think a movie can only have 1 or 2 leads, sorry you think the "grounded" way is the only way. The spots gained by the artificial booster of Heath Ledger dying, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's swan songs, and a film that critics are afraid to criticize without being labeled misogynists. The MCU doesn't need to resort to that sort of stuff.

Wonder Woman was #1 on the Best Superhero Movies of All Time list long before the Weinstein scandal broke so there was no artificial boosters. Speaking of artificial boosters, Black Panther looks like it's getting plenty of artificial boosters.
