I think Black Panther and Spider-Man are obviously going to stay dead. They already annoucend Sequels for both characters. So they will revived in Avengers 4. Like everyone who Thanos had killed.

For me, the death of some heores doesn't make any sense.

Cant say that yet, until everyone here watched the movie.

Cant say that yet, until everyone here watched the movie. It’s a spoiler thread, though. Why do you take issue with certain deaths?

There is no doubt in my mind that everyone that was "culled" will return. Doesn't mean there is is no emotional punch to it...Spider-Man with his own fear of "dying", and Groot - Rocket's reaction - were both fairly moving. Of course it depends how invested in these characters you were at the beginning.

Because i don't understand, why they choose some of the newer heroes, and nearly everyone of the Guardians, (excepct Gamora who's dead make sense), to be killed. It should have happen to one of the older ones.

Love the ending! It was daring and different, BUT... And maybe this is just unavoidable anyways, the Soul stone is most likely going to be used to as a Plot Point/MacGuffin in the next film to bring some characters back, so it does somewhat seem like a cop out and more just for shock effect. I was thinking the time stone would be used to reverse everything but on that scale, there would be some side effects ie some people actually staying dead. At one point I almost thought there was going to be a MCU version of house of M and scarlet witch goes mental and changes reality by herself I believe Vision will be back

Which I kind of hope isn't the case because Guardians without Gamorra just doesn't seem right. Pretty sure Cap will go next installment.

It should have happen to one of the older ones. I think because it lets us really focus on the originals in the final act. They get the attention for their swan songs and the others that will be the main players in phase 4 will be revived, but not take attention away. Because this is not the finale; this is the penultimate battle. In GOT terms, it’s episode 9 and the grand action packed spectacle. ETA: Rocket surviving just continues his character growth as the loner without feelings or attachments that actually loves and cares about his friends. Nebula falls into the same sort of category.

But I think Gamora will be back.

What would be the point temporarily killing characters people like? It's the difference between child-like sandbox playing and adult awareness of dramatic finalityIT-IS-FICTION NO-REAL-PEOPLE-DIE How does it matter if a fictional character dies or not? If Old Yeller could return, it would be less of a film. As well if Mac from Cuckoo’s Nest could. Tragedy is a fundamental of drama. It is one of its most endearing components. It’s a legimate critique of the MCU.

I know they wont/cant do this but it woulda been cool if Adam Warlock shows up in the next part, looks at the situation and the remaining Avengers alive and says this isnt enough to take on Thanos. Then he asks Dr Strange to open up a portal and bring in the Xmen/F4 from an alternate reality to join the Avengers and launch one last mega assault on the mad Titan. If they wanted to, they could make the movie an F4 origin movie. Just have them launch off into space to help and get hit by some force and join up with the Avengers.

So now those carping about their stupid "stakes" crap are still going to complain? More proof that you don't listen to fake complaints. Those doing the complaining are just looking for a reason to complain and will just move the goalposts if you give them what they claim they want. In this case, they'll just complain about what Marvel might do next. Oh yeah...I'm totally convinced you are sincere. Well the ending is depressing to me. The "stakes" better darn well be undone in the next movie. Spider-Man, Dr Strange and BP especially have to come back. The feeling that the Avengers will find a way to undo all this is the main hope most will have. My favorite part of the movie is that fight Cap, Wanda, and company WIN against Proxima Midnight and her team. Never going to understand this fascination with heroes losing. Fake complaints.

Oh...my "gripes" would be 2 things:
1-Starlord is an idiot. What the hell man? He deserves to stay dead for that monumental bit of self centered douchebaggery.
2-Didn't like how Spider-Man died. I know he's a kid and all, but maybe less terror?

But it's possible she was the "gut punch" that will last. All of the "Ash" people will be back, but she might stay dead. Though I suppose Guardians could be "The Search for Gamora"

**SPOILERS**
There's no way Doctor Strange gave the time stone just to spare Iron Man's life. He said it himself, the stone is more important than everything and he'd sacrifice anyone to protect it. I think he gave the stone, because it's the only way that they win in the end out of the 4 million futures he visited. He even said 'it's the only way' to Tony after he gave the stone. I think some of the characters will be brought back (Spidey & Black Panther f.e.), but I also think some will stay dead and I think some of the people who survived will die in Avengers 4 (f.e. Cap & Iron Man).
