No. And anyways, Ragnarok was never about the end of the world. That's not what Norse Ragnarok is. It's merely the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. People who thought it was some kind of apocalypse didn't know what they were talking about to begin with. As usual you are wrong. Ragnarok is defined by all dictionaries as: noun, Scandinavian Mythology. 1. the destruction of the gods and of all things in a final battle with the evil powers. Try using this new thing called google. It will list a variety of dictionary sources which ALL define Ragnarok as THE END OF THE WORLD. Now what were you saying about people not knowing what they were talking about? Hmmmm I notice none of the definitions mention pie fights and fart jokes so the mcu is playing fast and loose with the way the portray the end of all things. On the bright side at least none of the mcu fans had to see anything scary or upsetting or memorable or be challenged in any way at all. In the Ragnarok myth, some of the Gods die but some survive. After the disaster passes the land re-emerges and the survivors start to rebuild. It's a cyclical thing. Read more than a dictionary quick-job and learn the actual story. I know it's hard for you to not read something by looking at the cover but try to put in the actual effort just once, you'll look like less of a pretentious wannabe. Here, I'll do your work for you: norse-mythology.org/tales/ragnarok/Ragnarok being some kind of final apocalypse was just some misinterpretation by Christian Scholars who thought it was like their Apocalypse. It's not, never was.

Not only is that wrong, but it is not even the highest MCU film. Opinion. Sorry, that is a fact if we are using RT. Both Avengers and Winter Solider have higher ratings. Winter Solider with a 7.6/10 and Avengers with a 8/10. I just get ticked when people(not directed at you) don't understand how to actually read RT. They look at the big number and think that is it. Not the case.

- TDK has an average score of 8.6 and 94% thus kicks FraggleRock ass Artificially boosted from Ledger dying.
Had no competition at the time. Wouldn't do well today. Artificial booster from being Jackman's Swan Song.Had no competition at the time. Wouldn't do well today. Grow a thicker skin. This pretentiousness you're advocating is getting embarrassing. Uh, no and no.

@weirdraptor Don't escalate it. If you see someone insulting another or something else, tag me so I can deal with it but don't respond to it because it'll just grow. poelzig It's dealt with. I can't help that he posted a comment after I left. Aside from the comment you quoted he hadn't insulted anybody. Now stop insulting people, stop complaining afterward, stop playing the victim, stop trying to draw attention to yourself and grow up just a little bit.

Ledger dying made it be considered "bad taste" to criticize Dark Knight in any way and Jackman had 17 years of goodwill he'd built up to immunize Logan.

Yes and yes. Ledger dying made it be considered "bad taste" to criticize Dark Knight in any way and Jackman had 17 years of goodwill he'd built up to immunize Logan. Repeating this you will one day come to believe it. And if you're lucky, you might even convince one or two persons. Keep on!

But then again it was easier for me because I never liked Dark Knight to begin with.

Just don't try to convince the people that liked it that they liked it just because Ledger died. I only liked the Cate Blanchett scenes in Ragnarok, but i don't try to change other people's opinions about it. You liked it, good for you: have fun with it

You can't deny that had a HUGE impact on the film. if it did, that was reflected on BO. The fact is that i see it now and like it just as much as i did the first time. And it's true for lots of people. I don't even think about Heath dying when i watch the movie now. and it's not like people like The Giant now because it's James Dean's last movie.

You can't deny that had a HUGE impact on the film. if it did, that was reflected on BO. And the critical ratings. No one was willing to point out the films flaws when it first came out, it's only years later anyone can dare say anything without people giving them the stink eye for "daring" to criticize the film.

I don't buy it since they ciriticise everytime movies starring people that have died. Even The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus has a 64% on RT. You know, the actual last movie staring Heath Ledger

With all due respect that comes across in the massive conjecture you make about the popularity purely relying on Ledger dying. The fact is the film is considered and respected highly as was Ledger's performance and there is little to support your view other than it would seem that it is slanted because of your dislike for the film.

If it wasn't for him dying, odds are that audiences and critics would've been more willing to notice and point out the films flaws. Like the Joker being omnipotent, the final act being a rush-job and Two-Face being wasted. Or why Harvey Dent was seen as some White Knight when he next to nothing to earn that as opposed to someone like Jim Gordon. Or how there are massive holes in the philosophies Alfred and Dent bring up (Some men just want to see the world burn and "Die a hero or become a villain") yet no one ever challenges them.

It's not like critics give some MCU movies like Ant-man a pass because they don't take themselves seriously, and as a consequence neither do the critics. they have some fun during the movie, and 2 hours later they forget about it.it does not apply to al MCU movies, but it surely applies to some.

That's exactly like saying the MCU movies are rated good because of paid critics. People need to accept that other people like movies that they don't.I hate every Wes Anderson movie, and i found Gone Girl to be a piece of trash.Yet people like them and praise them. Good for them!

There are plenty of people who point out flaws in the film, as there are in all films. I wouldn't necessarily agree with some of those you've raised, and the viewing of Harvey Dent as a white knight as opposed to Gordon is that Gordon is a member of an organisation that is seen as corrupt whilst Dent is trying to eliminate that along with the organised crime that is profiting from it. But that is simple Batman canon. "Odds are" are not fact and in this case are very long odds as the reviews and critics continue to praise it, your only defence of that is the fact that Ledger died and therefore it must be because of that. Let it go. You didn't like it, fine, you're entitled to your opinion.
