Movie poster isn't bad. I saw this many years ago when first on VHS. Didn't like it but I was only about 11 or so. I'm willing to try it again. I might actually try and get the book.

Penalty kicks? Keep playing but with a reduced number of players? Something else? In a tournament game where there has to be a winner extra time and then penalties. It is horrible to go out on penalties but teams should and are prepared for this.

Maybe they could flesh it out with some flashback background story. Maybe add a few 'Cast Away' elements to it. I'd also like to see a 'Girl Who Loves Tom Gordon' adaptation along with 'The Long Walk'. A better adaptation more faithful to the novella 'The Running Man' also. Long Walk would be awesome if it's done right. I thought the success of 'The Hunger Games' might have lead to 'The Long Walk' getting made. Not exactly the same but have a similarity.

Do you think a full length movie could be made out of this Stephen King short story? Would be tough to do since it's a one character story, and having a second character would defeat the purpose of the film. But it's SUCH a great and gross premise. Maybe they could flesh it out with some flashback background story. Maybe add a few 'Cast Away' elements to it. I'd also like to see a 'Girl Who Loves Tom Gordon' adaptation along with 'The Long Walk'. A better adaptation more faithful to the novella 'The Running Man' also.

nah - those have potential - just not acheived it. they need cuddles from the management.. and a mentality shift. I got sick of the phrase by commentators 'he has yet to realize his potential'. Another one was 'he has an eye for goal and a tremendous shot on him'. Might be better at Chelsea surrounded by better players. He didn't want to play for us so end of story.

Saw he's having a medical at Everton today on Sky sports news, bit out of the blue but I guess it sounds about right... shame it never really worked out for him but he's not a huge loss. And now we have like.... 1 winger? After Sanchez is off. Great stuff. I welcome this potential signing. We need something. I want to know where Klaasen has gone. He seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Most overrated player in English football history. Ross Barkley.

Which did you think of this movie? Pretty silly, and I should have seen the ending coming, it was predictable. But Lauren Cohan's performance keeps things watchable. 6/10 It was quite good.

Anyone seen or tempted to see this another remake of the classic? At the moment I can't get up the courage to watch the trailer.

One of those films I've been wanting to see for awhile but just never got around to it. I picked up a copy from a thrift store. Obviously not going to be as good as the first but I've heard it is not too bad. I'm kind of looking forward to it.

A weird premise. I might check it out. A 5.5 rating on IMDB so maybe ok.

It is what it is. A showcase of her boobs and bending over and double entendre type humor for sure. I thought it funny. 6/10. Have to be in a certain mood I suppose. Good if you enjoy lines such as when Elvira gets hit in the head:
Bob: How is your head?
Elvira: I've had no complaints so far.

Your thread's still out there somewhere but I could only find it using my recent post history. I made a couple of posts on it the other day. Basically they said Sampson did make discriminatory (racist) remarks but is not a racist (!)
Link to your old thread, hopefully Thanks. As far as I'm concerned it was a witch hunt that destroyed a mans reputation and credibility because a black woman made accusations of racism. Someone had to go. All he did was allegedly make a couple of racial jokes. Bit of banter. Next thing you know it is a parliamentary inquisition. No racism. No bullying.

I made a thread but deleted it as I thought when he resigned that was that. Next thing it's a major enquiry with the FA and parliament. So the allegations against him true?
