Before he throws it through the Bifrost after Thor, Odin says to the hammer, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor". So it could be that instant lightning is one of Thor's powers, so it's one of Cap's powers when he holds Mjölnir.
THIS^^! There is no mistake. The lightning is the power of Thor.

Great show. I believe the complete series with the full hour long episodes are now available for streaming in a couple of places including shoutfactorytv.

Extremely fun movie all around. It was never intended to be taken too seriously.

Finished watching the season. Quite disappointing I'm afraid. Mostly not funny and mostly not clever. It ranges from annoying to mediocre. I also want to know what Kudrow's crime was. The finale was garbage. I really don't care if it gets a second season.

I think the only problem I'd have is losing either of the two leads. I felt the same way on NCIS when Abby and Ziva left. My heart wasn't in it anymore and I really didn't maintain any connection to the show. So it'll depend on which character and how it furthers the development of the whole show. So far I only have access to three seasons, so I'll keep posting my updates as I get through the episodes. It's an engaging program. Based on what you wrote above, I think you'll be OK with the future developments. I'm a big fan of "Babylon 5" (1994-1998). That series did a lot to usher in serialized story-telling on television, so I was used to a continuing story and major characters dying. But I remember reading on the old IMDb message board when (certain beloved character) was killed, some people were like, "That's it, I'm done with this show!" I'm of the opinion that if the good guys never take any casualties, then they're not a facing a credible threat. I agree with that but it can go too far in the other direction as well. In some of these shows nothing good ever happens and the good guys never win. They just barely survive by the seat of their pants and their situation just keeps going from bad to worse. I find that very boring over time.

That whole other machine story line that went on forever really dragged the show down.

Rumor has it that Vanessa Morgan (Riverdale) will be playing Ryan Wilder. She's 5'2". SMH.
