Do you agree with this statement:
"Transgender's have erroneously latched onto the gay community, when they drag down genuine gay people who do appreciate and honor their gender and give out the wrong signals regarding what homosexuality represents, which is being sexually comfortable with a body that is familiar to ones own."
Do you get confused about what homosexuality represents because of actions or problems of transgender people? I have never had problem in understanding what homosexuality deals with and what transgenderism deals with. I do like to know if someone really believes that transgenders drag down gays except for some gays?

Did a gay write that statement? The statement was written by a gay person called Toasted Cheese who never misses an opportunity to attack transgenders in threads that are started on transgenders on any board where he posts. If you go through his posting history it is full of such posts.
From what I remember even you are sympathetic towards transgenders. So I have no idea who are the transgender people who drag down the gays.

First off, "What homosexuality represents?" It doesn't "represent" anything. What the term conventionally refers to/its definition shouldn't be confusing to anyone.
Re the transgender comment, you can't erroneously latch on to something. And aside from that, it seems rather biased against transgenders, so no, I don't at all agree with the comment.

It seems such comments are made on basis of emotions and not rationality. A person already takes a stance against transgenders and then has to create reasons to make himself/herself believe that transgenderism is causing such negative consequences.

No, and quite frankly I'm baffled how a member of a persecuted minority can exhibit the same bigotry and intolerance that his or her group has suffered in recent history. That's just me though. For example, in a related category I doubt I'll ever understand what goes on in Clarence Thomas' head.

I think he is speaking more abstractly about the concept of transgender's trying to associate themselves with a completely different movement, and conflate the struggle that gays, lesbians, and bisexuals deal with. I don't think he was trying to imply a specific transgender person "dragging down" gay people.

For example, in a related category I doubt I'll ever understand what goes on in Clarence Thomas' head. Minorities persecute other minorities all the time! And that's one of the reasons why being a minority is even more difficult in a predominately white society. Because all of the racist stereotypes that the white majority pins on people of other races/ethnicities, are perpetuated in the media and in social media (which is controlled by white people). And these racist stereotypes are bought into by everyone who watches it, including minorities. Black people are homophobic towards the LGBT community. The LGBT community is oftentimes racist. Asians believe in and perpetuate negative stereotypes about black people. Jews promote Islamophobia, while Muslims often engage in antisemitism. It's a complete cycle of bigotry that just goes around and around, often started by and/or facilitated by conservative white America. Clarence Thomas (who obviously doesn't give a shit about black people, gays, women, or anyone else but himself) disgraced his own image a long time ago in so many different ways. Everyone seems to give him a complete pass on sexually harassing women despite the popularity of the "metoo" movement.

I don't think he was trying to imply a specific transgender person "dragging down" gay people. Yes, what he is saying is that transgender people collectively cause harm to gays by associating with LGBT movement. And as a reason he suggested that general people may conflate what homosexuality represents because of association of transgenders in LGBT. Interestingly, you argued against his position in the same thread but he is one of those who doesn't seem to change his mind about anything. Definitely, anytime transgender topic shows up he will also show up.

Since I have an IQ at least slightly greater than that of the average turnip, that doesn't confuse me in the least.

As far as Clarence Thomas goes, I suppose there's no process to remove a Supreme Court justice, which I suppose is good. I mean, can you imagine all the extra political battles we'd have if one side is trying to get rid of Thomas while the other side is trying to get rid of Ginsburg?

Given recent history, you'd expect that gay people would generally be accepting of freaks and weirdos. Yet I've come across quite a few gay people who've expressed views like that about transgenders. I suppose conformism is, sadly, a deeply ingrained of many people's mindsets. Maybe there's also kind of a "house negro" thing happening here - "I'm outside the norm so you can shit on me a little bit, but these people are even more abnormal, so we can shit on them together!"

What you say is sadly true. Though it not only true for gays alone. As captain Bryce said people from all walks of life may be indulging in such behaviour. I have seen Indians and Asians being racist towards blacks or other Indians and Asians. Also seen women indulging in misogynist behaviour. I think you used the right word "Conformism".

For some reason, Erjen tolerates transgenders but hates gays.

For some reason, Erjen tolerates transgenders but hates gays. No, Erjen doesn't hate gays or anyone else. Also, God doesn't "hate gays" in the Old Testament as you said recently. Now if you keep telling these lies, I'm going to have to get something done about it. You're a gay man, and pretty much everyone knows it by now, but you're overdoing the "hate" routine. Enough already.

You call me gay like there's something wrong with being gay.
What makes you so sure that I'm gay anyways?
Lovingly yours, Father Nelson.
