Nicko's Nose is a big metal fan too. Yes, I think Nicko's Nose would enjoy Maule's self-titled album because he's a big Iron Maiden fan. The Maiden influence isn't as prominent in "Sword Woman", the song I posted above. It's much more noticeable in the other song they made a video for, "Evil Eye".

I enjoyed these two but the proper genre for them is "Some Fusion Thingy", together with Guthrie Govan and The Aristocrats Unless… Genre schmenre. What is this? Soft Hair Metal? Aluminium Rock? Name calling is half the fun. (I looked up en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_(band) and saw they are categorised as "heavy metal - hard rock", well…)

I'm not breaking any rules here.

IRONFLAME's debut was one of my favorite 2017 albums, and my latest 2022 purchase is their fourth release "Where Madness Dwells". The album was released on July 1st, 2022. The reviewer at Angry Metal Guy gives "Where Madness Dwells" a 4.0/5.0 rating, AKA the 4.0hammer™. Here are some highlights from his review: I've linked to a sample IRONFLAME song, and their entire 2022 album (eight track digital edition), in the first post of this thread. Please note that the CD version (which I bought) includes two bonus tracks for a total of ten tracks.

My latest 2022 purchase is "Fallen Kingdom", the second full-length album by UNCHAINED HORIZON. Prior to this, the band released three EPs and their debut album independently - making those hard to come by. But "Fallen Kingdom" is on Pure Steel Records and easily found on Amazon.com. The album was released on September 30th, 2022. Obliveon.de gave "Fallen Kingdom" an 8/10 rating and wrote: I've linked to a sample UNCHAINED HORIZON song, and also their entire 2022 album, in the first post of this thread.

Here's one for you headbangers that you might not be familiar with
Talas was a western NY band from the late 70's-early 80's. Power trio consisting of guitarist Dave Constantino, drummer Paul Varga and a bassist you might have heard of, Billy Sheehan. Talas was a fucking legend at the time and everyone figured that they would make it big. Power trios were big at the time, Rush, Motorhead, Triumph. Talas released two albums on a regional label, Talas and Sink Your Teeth Into That. But they could never get over the hump and Sheehan left to go play on David Lee Roth's band after he split from VH. This album was created from tracks Talas had worked on before Sheehan left. It's not really Talas in a way, because Constantino and Varga are not on the album. But Sheehan is. Man, it was something to see him play that "lead bass" in local bars like The Purple Moose, Rusty Nail, The Brass Balloon. We always thought that someday saying we had seen Talas in The Rusty Nail would be akin to saying you seen The Doors at the Whiskey a Go-Go or Lou Reed at CGBG. Best times of my life
Give the album a try

I'm not affiliated with Talas or Billy Sheehan but the band is a huge part of my misspent youth. me personally, I liked the album. But the vocals are different. Dave Constantino and Paul Varga switched off of the lead vocals and did a great job. If you are interested, their 2nd album with the classic lineup is on YouTube. Sink Your Teeth Into That was a killer album

Sink Your Teeth Into That was a killer album I'm definitely checking out "1985", and I will let you know what I think about it. I prefer to acquire music in the CD format, and I've already determined that Amazon sells "1985" on CD. Unfortunately, they don't have "Sink Your Teeth Into That" in any format.
