If I can see Patrick Stewart as Professor X working with any of The Avengers, I would be in geek heaven.

I never understood this idea that the X-Comics can't co-exist with the rest of marvel. They did for decades and no one cared. It wasn't until the 90s they started acting like they were separate, and writers have been trying to undo that decades' worth of damage ever since. The movies I can understand...but the X-Movies are still operating on the assumption it's still the year 2000 and they can't grow beyond that. They need a kick in their complacency, and merging them with a proper Comics Universe that isn't afraid to embrace stuff like Magic and Aliens and everything is just what they need.

No one cared because comics are an irrelevant industry. What would had been the great damage if the X Men had their own universe? Yay, just throw away the potential of the universe and be part of a bland Disney franchise.

And considering how CBMs were going for that sell-out "grounded" approach, Disneys' way is anything BUT bland.
Hell, they even bothered pointing out not every German in WWII was a bloodthirsty unrepentant Nazi. Something X-Men is too cowardly to do.

Why is grounded approach sell out? How much time did the X Men spend in WW2 opposed to the MCU?

Why is grounded approach sell out? How much time did the X Men spend in WW2 opposed to the MCU? It advocates the idea that it's okay to be ashamed of comic books.
WWII is part of Magneto's story, and every single German we see in his story is a 1-Dimensional Nazi with no nuance to it.
Imagine if he hunted down and killed a guy he assumed was a Nazi but it turned out he was innocent. Magneto just made a poor assumption.

It's okay to be embarassed about superhero books with their 2d world view. Because we just get a glimpse of Nazi Germany. You don't have to see him do his homework.

The X-Movies are pretty 2-D in how they do everything as well, using the Holocaust to justify a character has always been the lazy way out. And the whole Mutant/Human thing in the movies is pretty 2-D.
So no, insulting the comics and then making something even more 2-D isn't a good thing.
Hell, the first Captain America gave WWII Germans more nuance in ONE scene that the entirety of Magnetos' story.

There was alien technology in Apocalypse. No hint it was alien. This is Apocalypse. The dude has access to Alien tech in the comics and Singer teased at this in interviews.

Why is grounded approach sell out? How much time did the X Men spend in WW2 opposed to the MCU? Because comic books aren't grounded. Why should their films have to try taking place in the real world when there are countless possibilities if they had the guts to get creative.

So you've just admitted you have no respect for the medium and yet you expect anyone here to take anything you have to say seriously? Good luck with that.
