Aside from the opening and the ending, A Night of the Living Dead doesn't do much for me. Mostly just bores me tbh.

I don't prefer the remake. I think they are both poorly made. The writing isn't the issue for me, though I do think the writing and directing is worse in the original. I think both fail to be emotionally compelling, scary, suspenseful or entertaining. I just don't care about the characters here. As my rating suggests I don't hate the movie or anywhere near that, but am just sort of indifferent. Zombies have never really been my thing, but I still like the first 2 sequels, so it must not merely be because I am not generally a fan of zombie movies. Day and Dawn are entertaining, whereas Night isn't.

It’s been too long since I’ve seen it, so I didn’t rank/rate it, but I remember liking it okay.
