Quite a few middling films. All his horror films do seem to have a similar style and tone to them. Though do eventually wear thin by the end.
I really like the premise’s set-up for ‘Waxwork’, but the climax just felt jarring. The unpleasantness of the waxwork encounters in their time and place soon falls into comic silliness when it returns to modern times in the wax museum for the climatic battle. The imaginative first half, loses its edge in the second half. At least David Warner is good fun throughout.
